The Symbiosis Center of Journalism & Communication (SCMC) opened in 1990 with only 40 students. In 1999, it was renamed as Symbiosis Institute of Mass Communication and eventually as Symbiosis Institute of Media & Communication. Today it has evolved into a world-class media and communication education and training Institute, providing the industry with trained and competent professionals.
