Here are some of the tips that can help students to manage the time and help to focus on study and can be more productive towards your goal.

  • PRIORTIZE YOUR HEALTH AND WELLBEING :
During this crucial time, the most important thing to do is to take care of the health be it physical or mental, you should be healthy 100% to focus on the studies. To deal with this we can meditate before sitting for studies or writing a gratitude journal in evening can make you more calm and focus on studies.

  • CARVE OUT YOUR SPACE :
If you have a study desk in your room, it will be great start. Organize your desk if it's been full of books and other stuff. Clean all the unnecessary thing and keep the books into the shelf which is not required to study for that particular day. Arrange everything on desk so that you can make a easy move to take things within the desk. It depends on you that how you want to arrange your desk, the thing is you have to make your desk look like you can study peacefully without any distraction.

If you don't have any desk find a place in the house where you can study peacefully and create an environment that promotes you to study. Arrange the books so that you can take the books easily and keep the books to the original place where you keep.

  • AVOID DISTRACTIONS :
Usually we get distracted when we sit to study. During lockdown it's common that we frequently get distracted because of the household chores. To avoid such distraction use headphones and play soothing music which will help you out in studying and help you get rid of the distractions. Research by Dr. Glenn Wilson, a psychologist formerly from King’s College, London University, found that workers who were constantly distracted by phones and emails performed 10% lower in exams than their IQ predicted.

  • FOCUS :

During your chosen study times, focus. The more focused and dedicated you are, the more effective your study time will be. If you go over your allotted time, great! Your hyper-focus helped you to study hard and prepare even more than you’d planned. If you’re finding it difficult to focus, take a short break to stretch, breathe or enjoy some refreshments.

  • REWARD YOURSELF :

You can take break as a complementary for completing your daily task. if you have done with your daily study goals you can take break by eating your favorite snack, by taking a small nap or scrolling your social media or watching your favorite web series or drama. In this way you can reward yourself that you won't get demotivated and continue to study. Knowing you’ve got this to look forward to if you complete a task or a portion of work will help keep your brain focused.

  • READ MORE :

Studies have shown that reading brings about neurological changes in the brain, such as improving connectivity and improving its ability to process information. Reading has been proven to help with vocabulary, grammar and comprehension on standardized tests. It will also help to stimulate your mind in your downtime.

  • GET A GOOD NIGHT SLEEP :
Sleep is essential to rest your body and keep your mind fresh for the next day. Try to get seven to eight hours of rest a night. Pulling all-nighters is less productive than studying consistently. Include sleep in your schedule, and you can reap huge rewards.

By practicing this things you can easily see changes within a few days and it will help you improve not only mentally but it will give confidence and can do more productive things in your life. So start doing it from today itself to make your your lockdown life productive as well as meaningful.
